Work Experience Placements
Our fantastic links with employers across the region means that 100% of our students have access to amazing work placements!
You won’t just spend your time in the classroom at Warrington Collegiate; you’ll be out in the real world, working alongside employers and gaining valuable experience. We are passionate about making sure our students are ready for work when they leave us, which is why work experience is such an important part of your time here.
All students aged 16-18 and studying a Level 1, 2 or 3 programme of study will complete a work placement related to their course. Our work experience programme is employer-led.
Work experience is great because:
- It helps you to get to grips with working, meeting deadlines and working in a team.
- Your placement will enhance your knowledge and help with your course.
- It will give you further insights into the job and industry you dream of working in.
- It’s a great foot in the door and will mean you’re already on the company’s radar when job opportunities come up – many of our students go on to secure work with the companies they have previously carried out placements with.
Our experienced Work Placement Team is on hand to help you when it comes to organising placements, but we also encourage students to find their own.
Work Placements Abroad
We currently have students on placements throughout Europe* including placements in Germany, France, Spain and Denmark. The group placements range from two weeks to four weeks and provide students with a fantastic experience and an opportunity to sample different cultures.
*Eligibility criteria applies.
