Performing Musician Level 3

Is the course for me?

The program of learning will cover all aspects of being a modern day working musician. The program is designed to provide an overview and vocational experience of life as a working musician. It will expose students to new styles of music, through the many sessions that are arranged throughout the course including: being a 'pit musician' for the musical theatre shows that are produced by the musical theatre students on the performing arts course, the variety show, a jazz evening held for the mayor in the college's restaurant Buckley's and a Christmas Pantomime held at The Parr Hall in Warrington to name but a few.

No average or ordinary course, we offer fresh and raw training which challenges current music practice, by taking risks, being inventive and developing independance.

As a Grade 1 department, we are a success because we train our learners to be practioners and artists who produce outstanding work, which is regarded as some of the best in the UK at College Level (Source - OFSTED, UK Skills, Reviews and external examiner reports)
