Then this practical, work-related qualification is for you.You will be introduced to the exciting world of business through projects and assignments allowing the development of specialist skills and knowledge. Enterprise is a big part of your studies and you will have the opportunity to enter the national competition "Young Enteprise", students studying for this qualification have a very successful track record in competitions, with talented entrepreneurs from the College being awarded ‘Best Company Report’ at the final of ‘Young Enterprise 2011’, beating off strong competition from local schools and colleges.

What are the entry requirements?
A minimum of 5 GCSEs (C or above), including Maths and English (or Adult Literacy and Numeracy Level 2 or successful completion of a Level 2 course with Functional Skills Maths and English).Applicants who do not meet these entry requirements will be assessed on an individual basis by the Curriculum Manager and Curriculum Director.
How will I be assessed?
Each unit will be assessed via a range of methods, including assignments, projects and practical assessments through presentations. Will I complete work placements? The College is committed to ensuring that all students benefit from the opportunity to undertake work placement whilst at College and we will support you to obtain a placement in a relevant vocational setting.Previous students have enjoyed work experience at Premier Inn, Pure Gym,Galliford and Holiday Inn.
Are trips and residentials organised during the course? A variety of trips are planned as part of your course both within the UK and Europe. Are there any links with industry? The department has developed strong links with industry enabling students to benefit from guest speakers and experience of work placements.
What could I study next?
Successful completion of this qualification will provide an ideal springboard either into the world of work or onto a Higher Education qualification at College or University. Are there any additional costs? Students will be asked to contribute towards the costs of trips and residentials.
