This qualification will ensure learners develop awareness of the signs, symptoms and treatments available for a variety of common health conditions, including cardiovascular disease, arthritis and physical disability. Learners will also discover how to care for individuals and enable them to manage, monitor and control their condition.
Counselling Skills Certificate
This course provides you with a thorough understanding of counselling skills that can be used in daily life and the theoretical models that reinforce the use of counselling skills.
Customer Service for Health & Social Care Settings Certificate
This qualification is designed to enable learners to develop their knowledge and understanding required to work with customers within the health and social care sector. ‘Customers’ in this context refers to internal and external customers including people who use services, their supporters, visitors, health professionals and providers of other services. ‘Employee’ refers to a range of jobs roles both health and social care specific and non-specific ie receptionist, cleaner, retail assistant.
Customer Service Principles Certificate
The nationally accredited Certificate in Customer Service covers topics fundamental to the delivery of excellent customer service. The course helps to increase awareness of understanding and meeting customers’ needs, giving a great customer experience, learning from feedback and promoting products and services. It is suitable for all sectors and can help develop the learner’s understanding of the importance of excellent customer service to both colleagues and external contacts.
Dementia Care Certificate
This course will ensure learners develop and gain essential knowledge about caring for people with dementia. The course covers the benefits of positive communication, use of medication and the importance of person-centred care.
Information, Advice and Guidance Certificate
This qualification is ideal for anyone with an interest and/or some involvement in information, advice or guidance delivery in their work. For example, it would benefit learning support workers, mentors, and people working in voluntary organisations or with adult or community groups, tutors and outreach workers.
Lean Organisation Management Techniques Certificate
This qualification aims to improve business performance through continuous professional development of employees and their skill set. It’s ideal for employees working in areas where the need for improvements to quality, processes and costs has been identified.
Mental Health Awareness Certificate
This qualification aims to raise learners’ awareness of not only mental ill-health, but also the steps that can be taken to protect mental well-being. Mental distress takes many forms and the course explores twelve different mental health conditions. These include: depression; bipolar disorder; stress and anxiety; phobias; obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD); post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), schizophrenia; eating disorders and dementia.
Principles of Care Planning Certificate
Care planning is about addressing an individual’s full range of needs whilst accounting for their circumstances and preferences. It helps individuals to be involved in decisions about their care and to achieve the outcomes they want. This qualification will help learners to understand their role in supporting the preferences and needs of individuals in relation to their care or support, the development and implementation of care plans and contributing to the review of these by observing, monitoring and reporting on the care activities they’re responsible for.
Principles of End of Life Care Certificate
This qualification is designed to provide learners with a broad understanding of end of life and palliative care, enabling them to provide sensitive and appropriate support to people nearing the end of life and their families. The course aims to develop the learner’s knowledge and understanding of: the different perspectives on death and dying; the aims of end of life care; the principles of person-centred care planning; the support needed to manage pain and discomfort; how dementia impacts on an individual’s end of life care; the role of the health and social care worker at the time of death, and how to appropriately support the bereaved.
Principles of Prevention & Control of Infection Certificate
This course is suitable for further personal and professional development. It will cover a variety of topics such as the principles of infection prevention and control, the causes of infection and cleaning procedures, in a health care setting.
Principles of Working with Individuals with Learning Disabilities Certificate

Understanding Autism Certificate
The Certificate in Understanding Autism develops knowledge and awareness of Autism. Autism is a spectrum condition that affects how a person communicates with others and how they interpret the world around them. There are around 700,000 people in the UK with autism – more than 1 in every 100. Having a clear understanding of the misconceptions, diagnoses and support surrounding autism are just some of the essential skills needed when working in mental health.
Understanding Behaviour that Challenges Certificate
This qualification is designed to increase learners’ awareness and understanding of behaviour that challenges and its effects.
