Preparation for Life & Work
At Warrington Collegiate, we recognise that each of our students has different needs and we work hard to make sure that you have everything you need to succeed. All of our staff are fully trained, friendly and approachable.
Learning Facilitators are available to all students to assist them with their studies (e.g. one-to-one or group support, exam support, provision of specialist equipment, support from interpreters etc.), support for transport and personal care.
Study Skills gives students the opportunity to gain extra help with maths and English, if needed. If students need regular help with numeracy and literacy they will be referred to a weekly session in Study Skills where a Learning Adiviser will work out a study plan relevant to your needs (e.g. covering areas such as spelling, punctuation, essay writing etc.)
If you need additional support, our staff are on hand to help and will put an individual support package in place to cater for your specific requirements. Examples of the additional support available include one-to-one support both in and out of the classroom, specialist software and equipment, examination support and support with personal care needs.
If you would like to discuss any of your support needs please contact Jane Henshaw (Additional Learning Support Manager) on 01925 494598 for an informal chat or to arrange an appointment.
If you have a learning difficulty and/or disability there are lots of ways that we can support you.
Our campus provides easy access to students with disabilities and wheelchair access is available in all main college areas.
There are a range of Supported Learning courses available, ranging from Work Skills, Life Skills, Retail Skills, plus many more. Click here to view the courses available.
