Warrington Wolves Education & Performance Academy (WWEPA)
The close partnership between Warrington Collegiate and Warrington Wolves has resulted in a new and exciting two year Level 3 Extended Diploma in Rugby League for young people who are looking for a career in the rugby industry from sporting excellence to coaching and management.
Students will study all aspects of the game including Coaching, Playing, Officiating, Sports Science and Event Organisation. Additional qualifications also include UK Coaching Certificate Level 1 in Rugby League Coaching and a Match Officials Qualification. Students will also benefit from the opportunity to play for Warrington Collegiate Rugby Academy in British Colleges Sport League with training and support from Warrington Wolves.
Ben Lazenby, Player Performance Manager for Warrington Wolves enthusiastically says “One of our aims is to see students from the Warrington Collegiate’s Academy progress onto our Academy or into our staffing structures and succeed to a career within Rugby League.”

Liam Bretherton CTL for the WWEPA adds “The link between the Wolves and Warrington Collegiate is one of the first of its kind. This is an extension of the Warrington Wolves club. Student-athletes will be able to develop either or both their playing and coaching skills the ‘Wolves Way’ by gaining a nationally recognised qualification, additional RFL enhancement courses developing their knowledge and skills to successfully gain a career in rugby league as a player, coach, official or other supporting staff.
