Christmas magic comes to Town

Shoppers at Tesco enjoyed the magic of Christmas when Performing Arts students at Warrington Collegiate braved the hail showers to perform an excerpt from Seussical -The Musical when the Coca-Cola lorry dropped in to Tesco on the UK tour.

Seasonal wintry weather failed to dampen the spirits of the Performing Musician students who sang Halleluyah to rapturous applause from an appreciative audience with energy and enthusiasm.

Sindy Richardson, Curriculum Manager for Performing Arts said “It was a great opportunity to showcase the student’s talents.  Despite the wintry weather our students rose to the occasion and gave the Coca-Cola truck a warm welcome.”P1010680

Warrington Collegiate are defying educational history by performing the hit Broadway show , Seussical –the Musical ,for a two week run at Warrington Collegiate from 9th-22nd January 2012.

“As far as I can tell a two week run of a musical is a UK first for an F.E. college.” states James Baker, Course Leader. “We train students in a vocational setting and offer them the opportunity to experience the reality of a working actor. The fact that we’re running Seussical for an impressive sixteen shows allows them to gain essential skills for this tough industry. They aspire to be top class professional actors and this is truly a reality experience.”

Seussical-The Musical is being staged in-the-round as an interactive and immersive experience for its audience. It is a definite for all ages and a great cure for those post-Christmas blues. Seussical runs from the 9th– 22nd January. Tickets are £8 and can be purchased by visiting
