Advice & Guidance
As part of our commitment to you, Warrington & Vale Royal College staff will support you throughout your time at college, ensuring that you have all the support necessary for you to achieve your full potential. We offer impartial advice and guidance on finance, careers, higher education, childcare, disability, health and welfare.
We have a dedicated Careers Adviser situated in Learner Services to provide you with impartial information, advice and guidance regarding your future career. We also have an extensive careers library, featuring a variety of resources, including computer software, to help you decide which career is right for you. We can provide students with assistance for job search, interview techniques, CV creation and application forms.
The Careers Adviser will also provide guidance on researching Higher Education, completing UCAS applications, writing personal statements and attending interviews for Higher Education. Events take place throughout the year to promote Careers and Higher Education, including; Higher Education Open Days, Careers Fairs, Volunteering events and trips and visits to employers and Universities.
The Careers Office is open Wednesdays and Thursday 8.30am- 5pm and Friday 8.30am-4.30pm. Information, advice and guidance is also available over the phone or via email. Out of hours’ appointments may be possible to arrange as required. firstname.lastname@example.org 01925 494660.
