Advice and Guidance
Your time at college is valuable. How you spend it will determine what direction you take following your time with us.
We are here to help you make the right decisions – so make use of us while you can! We can help you in a number of different ways:
- Before you start a course at College we can help you to decide the most appropriate course to take
- Whilst you are at the College, we can help you do decide which career you want to do by considering your interests and your abilities
- We can support you in finding out information on your options following your course – whether this be into more university, training or into work.
The Careers Team also arrange an assortment of events involving employers, universities, recruitment agencies and volunteering organisations. These events are a valuable chance to speak to those in the know about options after college and find out what employers are looking for when they recruit staff.
We also have an extensive careers library, featuring a variety of resources, including computer software, to help you decide which career is right for you. We can provide you with assistance for job search, interview techniques, CV creation and application forms.
